Zion
is Utah's oldest national park. Cutting through layer
after layer of sedimentary rock for millions of years,
the Virgin River sliced canyons as deep as 3,000 feet
in places, leaving buttes and mesas standing like isolated
islands above the valley floor. Landmarks include the
Great White Throne - the largest monolith in the world
and Kolab Arch, the world's largest arch.
